Greentown Labs and Green Light Distrikt are excited to be hosting their first-ever panel discussion as part of their bi-monthly series of EnergyBar events. On Thursday, December 1st we’re bringing together an incredible group of experts for what we hope will be a lively discussion on patents and intellectual property for cleantech entrepreneurs.

Panel Details

We’ll kick the discussion off with opening remarks by Azam Khan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Khan was a primary drafter of the Agency’s 2010-2015 Strategic Plan and advises the Director of the USPTO on matters related to strategic planning, policy and political issues.

Following opening remarks Mr. Khan will join our panel of distinguished experts:
  • Michael Pomianek, Ph.D. J.D. - Chair of Cleantech Practice Group, Wolf Greenfield
  • Iain Cockburn, Ph.D. - Strategy & Innovation, Boston University School of Management
  • Brian Chemel - Co-Founder & CTO, Digital Lumens
Our moderator for the evening will be Jonathan Jensen, Director of Business Development, Energy, IT, Software & Mediaat Boston University. Mr. Jensen developed and manages the Technology Development Analyst Program and the TECC Student Consultants group at Boston University. Mr. Jensen is also a Certified Licensing Professional & USPTO Registered Patent Agent.
